They are <strong>not <\/strong>lap dogs.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Shibas are\u00a0energetic, extremely intelligent, and need a lot of mental and physical stimulation. <\/p>\n<p>Shibas need a lot of attention, and\u00a0they like being inside the house with their humans. If left alone for too long, they will become bored, destructive, and will probably escape to find adventure elsewhere.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/shibashake.com\/dog\/shiba-inu-personality-good-bad-traits\">Shiba Inu Personality &#8230;<\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>Do\u00a0you <strong>still <\/strong>want to get a Shiba puppy?<\/em> <\/p>\n<p>For those brave souls, check out the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.shibas.org\/breeders.html\">breeder list<\/a> at the National Shiba Club of America or adopt from a <a href=\"http:\/\/national.shibarescue.org\/\">Shiba Rescue<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>If you love Shibas, <strong>do not <\/strong>get a puppy from the pet store.
