I had to make that decision for my Siberian Husky, Shania, when she was only a few months old. I seriously considered returning Shania because I didnt know how amputation would affect her life, my life, and everything else. She is an awesome dog, has a great temperament, and enjoys life a lot more than my other dog. However, because three legged dogs are unusual, they attract more people-attention during walks.
