All dogs have some amount of prey drive or what is better known as the Squirrel Instinct. When my dog sees a squirrel, cat, or some other prey, all thoughts of food and safety fly from her head and she is only interested in that bushy tail. Here, we consider a dog’s prey drive and how we can effectively deal with a powerful Squirrel Instinct.
